Cloud Infrastructure Migration
Tech Startup • 2024

A comprehensive cloud migration project that moved a tech startup's entire infrastructure from on-premises servers to AWS cloud. The migration included application migration, database migration, CI/CD pipeline setup, monitoring and logging infrastructure, and disaster recovery planning. The project was completed with zero downtime and improved scalability and reliability.
The Challenge
The startup was experiencing infrastructure limitations with on-premises servers, including scalability issues, high maintenance costs, and lack of disaster recovery capabilities. They needed to migrate to the cloud to support rapid growth and improve reliability.
The Solution
We planned and executed a phased migration to AWS, using Terraform for infrastructure as code, Kubernetes for container orchestration, and Docker for containerization. We set up CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, implemented comprehensive monitoring with CloudWatch and Datadog, and established automated backup and disaster recovery procedures.
Measurable Impact
The migration was completed with zero downtime, resulted in a 60% cost reduction, and achieved a 99.9% uptime SLA. The new infrastructure supports 10x traffic growth and has improved deployment speed by 80%. The startup can now scale resources on-demand and has robust disaster recovery capabilities.
